The location is good, but the service is somewhat limited and communication is hard due to no English; the concierge Prescott is pretty good and available, and the room is very basic.

I was impressed by how tidy everything was, but it takes half an hour to walk to the city center.

Our family of five, including three teens, spent four weeks traveling by high‑speed train across roughly 7 000 km of China and staying in many nice hotels; the breakfast buffet at Courtyard was by far the best we encountered, offering excellent Chinese and Western dishes in a lovely, spacious setting with friendly service and superb food, and the front‑desk staff’s strong English made touring much easier.
