It was quiet, roomy, had great facilities, and the host was attentive without being intrusive. The location was good, just a short walk to cross the river. The only thing I’d change is adding sunblock curtains to the bedroom.

The place felt welcoming, clean, and offered excellent value; the owner supplied walking tour guides, tips for independent hikes, and partner‑toured options (I didn’t try those, so I can’t judge). It’s important to realize that in the evenings you’re a bit isolated and you’ll need a Grab to get into the city center (15 minutes by car). From 18:00 to 4:00 a.m., there’s a boat (1 mile) that’s very handy. Sleeping is a bit tricky, not so much because of the roosters (earplugs help) but because of the nearby mosques; you’ll need to be ready to wake at 5 a.m. for the first prayer. Overall, I’d recommend it.

“Cozy stay if you don’t mind the crazy roosters, morning chanting and longer grab rides”

The place felt like a cozy home with everything you need, but the roosters went crazy and crowed at all hours, even at 2 a.m., and the Grab ride was a bit longer than staying on the south side of the river.

The property offered great amenities and the host was very friendly, though the roosters and prayer calls could go on for too long.
