The Emporia Hotel

The room was spacious and well lit, breakfast was abundant, and there was parking space right below the hotel. The bathroom was a bit small considering how large the room is.

The building is clean and looks like a typical business hotel, with friendly staff and a large pool, and the restaurant is good. However, when I arrived the lobby wasn’t air‑conditioned and the floors never were; the pool area is nice but poorly maintained, and I’m convinced they’ve proven that hanging CD‑ROMs doesn’t scare pigeons.

The breakfast was simple, tasty, and well‑served. Unfortunately the Wi‑Fi didn’t work, we initially got a room that smelled of cigarette smoke even though it’s supposed to be non‑smoking, there were no blankets in the rooms, and no other bathroom accessories, so the overall standard was disappointing, though still acceptable.

We ate at the hotel restaurant and ordered a medium‑cooked steak, but it turned out overcooked and hard, making it impossible to eat.

“Klassiek zakenhotel”

The hotel is neat. It’s a classic business‑hotel design, there’s no on‑site parking but a free parking lot opposite, the outdoor pool lacks lounge chairs or benches so it’s not very usable, and the staff speaks very limited English.
