“Great place! Stay here on the top floor without carpeting!”
We liked that this place feels like a historic motel from the ’60s, and that it’s not part of a chain, which we appreciate. It’s right on the water, and they’re constantly working on improvements, which is necessary. A booking hiccup happened, but the staff handled it professionally and helped out; it was our mistake, not theirs. Everyone on the team is very friendly. There’s a cozy lounge area with a balcony overlooking the beach and water. And everything else was clean. The carpet in our room (106) needs to be removed because it smells awful; other rooms didn’t have carpet, a detail we only noticed later in our stay. In general we recommend a room on an upper floor (the ground floor is at street level, near the hotel entrance) rather than the ground‑floor room that faces the beach. Despite the high price (about $280 per night including taxes), we still recommend staying here under the conditions mentioned.
