The view was beautiful, though the hotel was a bit farther from the train station; the owner kindly gave us a ride when we checked out.

The staff, breakfast, and especially the view were all excellent; I highly recommend it for anyone looking to visit the Appenzell region.

A quiet spot with great views, a very comfy room that even has a balcony, and a relaxed vibe. Breakfast was solid and parking was included. The only hiccup was a short walk up a steep hill from town, but that didn’t bother us.
