This is a great hotel, but it’s now let down by very poor food and staff. The new manager was fair and helpful as she could have been under the circumstances. She promised things would change, so we might give it one more try since it’s such a nice place. Since our last stay, things have gone downhill. Breakfast was awful and sent back, and the staff attitude needs improvement. Very disappointed.

The hotel tops the local scene, spotless and impeccably maintained; the bed was refreshed daily and housekeeping was superb, even tidying unexpected spots, which was a lovely touch. The staff were warm and welcoming, escorting me all the way to my room upon arrival. The only hiccup was that on one day the water didn’t heat up properly, leaving the shower slightly lukewarm, which isn’t a big deal for me but might bother others.
