Livingstone Jan Thiel Resort

Our stay was perfect; we loved the facilities, the room was great, and everything was very clean and comfortable. It was well worth it. The service was good, and the attendant Jenny was very attentive to us. The pool was under maintenance and had repair signage throughout the week I was staying, and the kids’ pool had many tiles coming loose.

“Regular”

The house’s aesthetic was very nice and spacious inside. We liked the breakfast; it was fine. The location was great. I would have liked someone to explain that the rooms aren’t cleaned. I stayed 4 nights and no one came to clean them. The bed wasn’t the best experience; in the part where my partner slept, there was a gap. We asked to check in early and they only opened the room at 16:00, which was the agreed check‑in time, but they could have been more attentive. We requested laundry service but couldn’t arrange it because it’s only available from day to day, and with the weekend and a holiday it wasn’t possible. For the price of the hotel, it didn’t feel like the best experience.

“Excelente!”

The rooms were spotless and comfortable, and the staff were excellent, super friendly, and helpful. The only downside was the lack of a button or a person to bring your luggage to the room.

“Net verblijf, prima faciliteiten”

Nice accommodation, rooms were clean, but there was a lot of maintenance work, so the corridor and stairs were blocked. I had to pay a resort surcharge afterwards, while my travel companion didn’t. A colleague who flew there two weeks later also didn’t pay that surcharge. Watch how they bill your meal in the restaurant (in gulden or $).
