The spot is fantastic – our balcony gave us a clear view over the lake and the house itself was really charming, with tilt‑back shutters that let us control light and airflow, plus two fans already installed. Breakfast offered a decent spread – cheese, yogurt, little jars of jam, fruit, breads, croissants, toast and cereal, plus a coffee bar with cappuccino, latte macchiato, café crème, hot milk and several hot‑chocolate options, and we could sit inside or out in the summer.

The location is spot‑on and the roof terrace adds a nice extra space for a drink or two, but the lack of any air‑conditioning made the warm evenings uncomfortable.

“Bien!”

The setting was peaceful, the villa itself had a unique feel and the staff were friendly, yet the housekeeping routine in room 72 was odd – the cleaner brought her supplies into the room, came and went as if we weren’t there and left the door wide open when she left while we were still inside.
