“Alloggio vicino alla stazione”

The building is near the station, in a somewhat dirty neighborhood of Florence. It’s a 20‑minute walk from the historic center. I recommend more maintenance and cleaning, and preventive checks of electrical appliances, hair dryer and mosquito repellent. The iron bed frame squeaks. The accommodation is on the second floor without an elevator.

The room was comfortable, spacious and clean, but the two flights of stairs were a hassle, it was right next to the train tracks, and the window wouldn’t open.

“Teleurstellend”

The location was reasonably within walking distance of the center. The breakfast was a ready‑made basket with a long‑life croissant, rusks, and some sweet spread, which does not add to the hospitality one pays for. Additionally, there were issues with the air conditioning, which eventually failed. The owner was fortunately considerate and offered a suitable solution.

“Ehh”

It was really clean and they had snacks and drinks for me. The AC was not working, so my room was really hot and I sweated all night. Also the trains, police sirens, and cars are very loud, even though it says on the listing that it’s noisy; I didn’t expect it to be so loud. I was there for only one night but barely slept. No one was available to help if you have an issue. The response I got over WhatsApp was “it will come on in a few minutes,” but the AC did come on, it was just hot air and no one came or responded.

“Good value for money stay.”

The place was tidy and the staff were super friendly and helpful, but the 2nd floor has no lift, so moving luggage up and down was a real hassle.
