Sheraton Hostel - Hurghada

No positives. A few days ago I received a cancellation request for no reason. When I went to the hotel, it wasn’t there; the phone didn’t connect and no messages came back. I’m now in touch with the booking site for a resolution, but I’m not sure if I’ll get my money back. Don’t book here.

No positives. I arrived at the hostel and it wasn’t at the address listed on the booking site. I called, and they just told me to cancel the reservation. Terrible. The staff were irresponsible.

The beds are comfortable and one room has air conditioning. Once you get inside (hard to find in the first place, used to be called something different and apparently they changed names because they had bad reviews or something), the building is only half finished; half the rooms and bathrooms aren’t built yet, with construction materials scattered around. It’s always dusty and dirty, so you have to wear shoes everywhere. There’s only one toilet for all rooms and nobody speaks English.

The place sits in a great spot, stays pretty clean, no bugs spotted, kitchen is usable, the hosts showed me where everything was and were friendly. Security was adequate, otherwise it’s perfect for the price.
