Umbrellas are available. The location is good. Sheets and bathroom supplies are provided. There are no cooking utensils. If you come in winter, the windows are plastic and we sometimes felt cold. There are no curtains in the room. The directions to the accommodation were confusing.

I appreciated that there were two AC units, which really helped keep the room comfortable. However, the temperature dropped so low that we had to run the AC constantly just to stay warm enough to sleep. The toilet was located in the backyard, which felt awkward especially since it wasn't shown in the photos and is uncomfortable outside of summer in Japan. The Wi‑Fi never worked, and even after we reported the issue, no assistance was provided. I also felt that the house’s security could be easily compromised if someone wanted to break in. Overall, it wasn’t worth the 170€ we paid for three nights—about 30,000 yen—which is the most expensive place we've stayed and the worst at the same time. It would have been acceptable if it were cheaper, but I suspect the price is inflated just because it’s in Kyoto.

“숙소 이슈로 힘들었던 교토여행”

I liked that there was a washing machine available. Unfortunately, I went there based on photos and reviews, and the location was terrible. The accommodation itself was not clean; hair and dust clumps were everywhere, so I had to wipe it down with a wet wipe again. They claimed it was a Japanese tatami style, but the insulation was poor, so I shivered all night. I really regret booking a two‑night stay; winter is a season to avoid this place. The toilet was outside, making it hard to go during the night, especially on cold winter nights. The Wi‑Fi was also non‑functional, which was very inconvenient.

The apartment was fantastic—spacious, quiet, and a unique Kyoto experience. It’s ideal for a long stay if you want to take it slow, even though it’s quite far from the downtown area. We stayed for two weeks, so the extra space was a big plus and we didn’t mind the longer walk or occasional train rides. I wouldn’t recommend it to someone only staying in Kyoto for two or three days. The apartment could use some renovation and a deep clean, so if you’re a cleanliness fanatic, you might want to look elsewhere.

“京都を感じたかったらオススメ。”

If you’re looking for a taste of Kyoto’s old‑town vibe, this place is recommended. Young people might get a culture shock, but it’s amazing. I felt the charm, but some might find the old architecture a bit drafty and slightly chilly, although the air conditioning works so it’s fine.
