“Fab Motel but its outsourced services let it down”

The motel itself felt modern and was conveniently on the main Bruce Highway – not as bad as it sounds. The room had a contemporary vibe, a comfy bed, a fantastic shower, and was spotlessly clean. It’s a solid choice for a quick overnight stop while passing through Cardwell. The downside was the restaurant and bar being completely separate from the hotel and from each other, which felt oddly disjointed. The bar was fine, but the restaurant was a different story. The staff were neither friendly nor helpful. The hotel’s website advertised a food special from 4th September to 2nd November, yet when we tried to order it, the staff said, “we didn’t put that on there.” The food itself was okay – we only ordered pizza. Dining options were limited for the evening. The motel itself is nice, so maybe bring a picnic for dinner 🤣

“Facilities were value for money”

No breakfast was offered. Room had a smell of mould, was either the aircon or curtains and furnishings
