The hotel sits in a central spot, right next to Nishiki Market and transport lines that cover the whole city. A short walk gets you to many points of interest. The room is roomy, clean, and offers daily towel and trash replacement service. The service staff are friendly, and the modest Onz' offers hot drinks. A cute restaurant is adjacent to the hotel. The windows are sealed; they’re painted and cannot be opened or looked through.

What an amazing experience—the hotel sits in a fantastic spot right next to Nishiki Market, close to plenty of shops and public transport. It’s clean, and the staff were very kind. The breakfast was nice but a bit small; overall it was fantastic.

I was blown away by how roomy the rooms were compared to Tokyo, and the walk to the main shopping district and restaurants was a breeze; Gion is also within about twenty minutes on foot. On the downside, I had pre‑purchased a set breakfast menu, and if I had more time I would have preferred ordering and paying per item.
