“Probably skip this one”

The owner let us check in early for an extra 20€ charge. The address didn’t match what was given. One towel was dirty, the other had a hairball. A window shutter wouldn’t open fully. I misunderstood the payment and thought I’d paid through Booking, which I hadn’t. While sorting that out, the owner wouldn’t help in any language other than Italian or use a translator, saying, “This is Italy, speak Italian.” The room only had beds. You could hear everything from the corridor and the street. The location is central, but nothing is nearby; everything is 7 km away and buses run roughly every hour.
