Sunrise suite

A truly wonderful stay. Daniel and his dog Ata greeted us warmly; Daniel shared loads of local tips. The room was cozy and warm, with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The kitchenette was well equipped, the bed super comfy, and the view of the courtyard and sunrise was stunning. Even a nightlight was in the bathroom. There were plenty of books and leaflets, and Daniel left binoculars and umbrellas for guests. A very considerate host—thanks a lot!

“Kleines Zimmer - wunderschöner, idyllischer Garten”

The room is lovingly furnished on a small area. A tiny kitchen is on the hallway and is shared with another room. The terrace view of the garden is simply fantastic. The other apartment, however, has no terrace and thus no great view. It’s peaceful and the sea is just a few steps away. The downside is that the landlord’s range hood vents directly onto the guest terrace, blowing smoke and noise onto us. If it rained and we couldn’t use the terrace—which fortunately didn’t happen—eating in the room would feel very cramped.

Daniel was very friendly and welcoming, and so was his dog Ata. The room and the deck view were delightful. The deck and garden area were private and warm, with plenty of sun. We had everything we needed. The bathroom was a good size. It’s just a three‑minute walk to shops (there aren’t many!), a public laundry, and a pub—everything you could want for a short stay.

“Perfect for my purpose ( attending a photographic workshop) where I was coming and going at all hours”

The place was cozy, comfortable, and convenient. I liked the comfy chair and footstool, the deck, and the view into the attractive garden. Even though it’s next to another suite and the owner’s house, it was very quiet—nearly no noise from neighbors. I appreciated the easy access to everything in Collingwood. Extra touches like the filtered water jug, a bottle of spring water in the fridge, and real ground coffee were great. I wasn’t too fond of the artwork, but that was a minor issue. I was alone, so it felt roomy; it might have been a bit tight for two people with a lot of luggage.

The setup is lovely and it’s only 100 metres from a pub, a café, and the Farewell Spit tour office.
