The place is right in nature—peacocks, chickens, a pond—and the mosquito protection was solid.

Clean, polite staff, rooms are functional and nicely decorated, and the surroundings are genuinely lovely.

Historic buildings are exciting and the setting is peaceful, but we were not told the hotel and restaurant had a “quiet day,” which would have changed our booking decision; also the site said payment was at the property, yet the money was taken beforehand.
