The spot is a very quiet, idyllic place right in nature, a dream for horse lovers with plenty of space and a large room. We were the only guests there in the off‑season. The host was very friendly. The room was very plain, which made it a bit uncomfortable.

The accommodation is well‑located for hikers, just about 20 minutes from Skaneleden, and the paths nearby are very scenic. For self‑catering, there is a large, well‑equipped kitchen, but it has little daylight and only two long tables, which feel a bit cramped for a couple. Our room had two comfortable beds and was small, but it included a bathroom with a shower and warm water. Breakfast was adequate in quantity and tasted good. There is also a common room with comfortable seating and a nice view of the surrounding landscape. We didn’t use the on‑site lake or sauna. The price feels too high for a simple accommodation, especially in the off‑season. Hikers would benefit from a sign at the junction off Skaneleden pointing to the place.

The location is breathtaking, the peace is fairy‑tale‑like, and it’s a real place to unwind. The hosts are extremely friendly and the breakfast is great. Nearby there’s a notable moose park.

We felt at home in the Backahuset annex. They took good care of us at check‑in, and Hasse, who delivered breakfast, was super friendly – he was the one we met most. The room was fresh and the toilet & shower were clean. Everything was super‑good ❣️
