“Authentiek en rustig verblijven.”
The authenticity of the building and its location were the highlights for us, especially the quiet setting. We learned the Inn had recently changed ownership and were greeted warmly and practically. A small language barrier existed, but overall we understood each other well. It wasn’t busy, likely because we were there in the shoulder season. When we wanted dinner in the evening, it was prepared without any problem even though we were the only guests, and it tasted good.
Parking your car nearby was convenient. The photos and reviews were outdated, the tables were sticky, and the menu was an A4 sheet or copy with only four options. We understood that ownership had changed and it now had a more Chinese vibe. The owner and waiter really tried their best, but it didn’t match the site’s portrayal. Everything looked old, worn, and rusty.
The bed was comfortable. The generator was loud for most of the night.

Breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and the staff were lovely. I had a pet‑friendly room that was basic but perfect for traveling with a dog.

There was a very nice beer garden at the hotel where we had our first English beer and plenty of space for our dog to run. On both the outbound and return trips we had a very nice room with great breakfast and a tasty dinner. The décor is stylish and cozy. It’s worth taking an evening walk through the village, which is nice to see. We’ll definitely stop by again on our next trip to England.
