We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at Hotel Caligiuri; Monica and Roberto welcomed us as if we were family, giving us a big warm hug. They never made us feel like a bother and always attended to our needs. The food was incredible—Monica truly is a culinary magician. On the first night she asked whether we wanted to order from the menu or let her cook traditional Calabrian dishes, and the meal was stunning, reminding us of my mother’s cooking; my kids loved it too because it felt like their grandmother’s kitchen. The second night was even better, with homemade treats and wine from Roberto’s family; it was all marvelous. I/we highly recommend this wonderful hotel run by two fantastic people. There is nothing to dislike.

The atmosphere feels like home, the staff are very professional and embody the renowned Calabrian hospitality. They make kindness and welcome their mantra, always available and flexible with my requests. The rooms are clean, comfortable, spacious, and bright. Breakfast is genuine and more than abundant, featuring truly local, km0 products. I will return to this place every time I come back to the area!

This family‑run hotel in Decollatura is fantastic, with staff who are attentive and kind; the room is roomy and well equipped, and there’s plenty of parking because driving is the only way to reach Decollatura. The breakfast is generous, with coffee and a wide selection of items in the morning. Unfortunately, I only stayed one night, so I didn’t get to try the lunch or dinner at the on‑site restaurant. The room had no air‑conditioning, though you could upgrade for an extra fee. At night the mountain breeze is nice, but I kept my window shut because the town was surprisingly noisy late at night for such a small place.

The owner, his wife, and their children are extremely kind and friendly. I would only suggest improving the cleaning of the elevator windows, even though that isn’t easy.
