“Excellent spacious motel room close to the CBD”
The property was spacious and well laid out, with the bedroom at the back of the unit. We used the heating because it was quite cold, and it kept us perfectly warm. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, making for a restful night's sleep. A $20 cab fare into the CBD was needed to collect our hire car. We thought this was an excellent motel room for a reasonable price.
“Gothic heights”
The location was good, the rooms were clean, the heat‑pump (definitely needed) worked, and Netflix was available. Single glazed windows, cold rooms, a bit smelly, an old‑school bathroom, and a shower with a curtain were the negatives.
“Still like to stay next time I visit my niece who live nearby”
The spot’s close to the park, but the road noise was a bit annoying.
“Well located , comfortable and ok for a night or two.”
The location was good for catching the bus or walking into Christchurch, but the building looked a little tired on the outside.
