The rooms were nice, but the air conditioning didn’t work properly and needs an upgrade.

“Very good hotel”

Ho Jo hotel sits in a prime spot near the waterfront, the shopping centre, restaurants, and the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The room was clean, roomy, and fully equipped. Occasionally the Wi‑Fi slowed down, and there was a brief power outage on our first night, but electricity came back on eventually.

“Good apart from the fact that the bar and restaurant on the top floor is never available to guests.”

The location is excellent and the price is good value. The rooftop bar/restaurant was never open because of events, and the ground‑floor restaurant didn’t allow alcohol, so we had to eat elsewhere.

“Good location”

The place is in a great spot and the rates are reasonable, but the shower water pressure was low.

“Lovely staff who went out of their way to help”

I checked in and had a race the next morning; they moved me to a hillside‑facing room for quieter views and gave me a late checkout. When I was delayed in returning, they called me, arranged a new key, and let me shower even after the official checkout time—staff were really helpful and lovely.
