Excellent location. Good food. We were attended very well despite not speaking English.

The hotel is probably my favorite in Tuscaloosa so far; it was very clean and comfortable, but beware of the breakfast: when you think you’re having a nice continental breakfast, and then you get hit with a $17.50 check per person; there is a sign but all three of our party did not see it until we were looking for it after the fact.

The furniture was fine, but I waited 20 minutes at the front desk because the only person who could check me in was somewhere else; the AC/heat did not work at all (see photo: after 12 hours, one degree change in temperature); the tub had live ants crawling around in it and they had not bothered to rinse the floors of the room because they were so sticky that you could feel your shoes stick to the floor in both rooms; I had to wash some of my shoes with a washcloth to remove the unrinsed detergent film left on the floor.
