Alankara Nature Resort is a very special place. The views are stunning, the setting is lush, and it is a wonderful escape from the noise of urban Sri Lanka. I regularly saw hornbills from my balcony. The people who run it are extremely helpful, attentive and generous. The food is incredible and you will not go hungry!
“Amazing people and beautiful views.”
The view and the people were amazing. It's really a place to calm down and relax. Dasun and Chamika took really good care of us, it felt like staying with family. They showed us around the city, took us to do jungle trekking and cooked delicious food every day. Also when we wanted to do activities like rafting and canyoning they made sure we booked them at places that have safety as a high standard. We would recommend this place to anyone! At the last night they even put together a BBQ for us, and before we left we planted a mango tree together so we could contribute to Sri Lankan nature, amazing people.
We spent two amazing days at Alankara Nature Resort. Our room offered a fantastic view into the jungle, letting us watch birds and fireflies. We dined twice at the resort and found the food very tasty, as did the breakfast. We also received a great tour of the garden, learning about all the trees, fruit varieties, and spices. Afterwards we took a day trip with the resort to the Makandawa conservation center; the tour wasn’t very detailed, but it let us discover all the animals and plants we would have missed on our own. Overall it was a beautiful stay that our 10‑year‑old son loved a lot. Nothing to complain about.
“Mieliśmy wspaniały pobyt! Wszystko było fantastyczne – piękne miejsce, cudowny widok, pyszne jedzenie i rewelacyjne śnia”
The most enjoyable aspects were the beautiful views, delicious food, and fantastic breakfasts. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the rafting organized by them was a great experience at a very good price. Everything was super and we had a wonderful time! The only downside was the lack of mosquito nets.
The room was beautiful and very comfortable and large, and the view was amazing. The hosts were extremely friendly and lovely and very accommodating, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay in nature
