The price of the room was okay and at the corner in the evening there was great food. Choose the fish and then BBQ. The room was small, very basic and I had a window but my friend, who stayed in the room next to me without a window, felt like a cell. We stayed one night instead of two. For a simple overnight stay it’s fine, very basic. It’s worth saying that you’re in the Golden Inn, everyone drives to the Golden Palace…

“Zwaar teleurstellend”

The shower. When we reported to the reception for check‑in, we were denied by the receptionist, even though two days earlier our payment had been processed by them. Whatever we said, we couldn’t get in. After much back‑and‑forth, showing the payment proof and the confirmation in the app and the email confirmation, it finally worked. It turned out the manager was absent and the confirmation email had NOT been shared with the staff! Why mismanagement? Also the wifi didn’t work, which was essential for us, but the worst: the air‑con was broken. While sweating we spent the night. The next day we were offered another room. Pack up and move again. Then that room’s air‑con was broken (error 9). Move again, sweat again, and after we had to move four times in two days the boat was out! The staff were clueless, uninformed, inexperienced, kept saying compensation was not possible. It was all a huge annoyance. This hotel, in our opinion, belongs on the junk heap.

The staff were very pleasant. The hotel is next to the port and throughout the night there is a lot of noise. Impossible to sleep.
