I can’t praise this place enough! It was the best spot we stayed at in Kenya. The vibe is rustic rather than fancy, but what really sets it apart is the hospitality, especially from the owner Patrick. He was super helpful before we got there and throughout our stay, making a huge difference. He arranged a driver, a boat trip, local tips, and even gave us packed lunches for our Hells Gate visit. Our room was quiet and peaceful, with a good hot shower, a fridge, and a lovely balcony. The beds were comfy. We chose to have meals included, which was excellent value and the food was delicious. The garden deserves a shoutout too—beautiful green space with hammocks and a spot to relax. There are two lovely dogs (and that’s saying something from a non‑dog person!). Patrick let us stay in our room until 3 pm for a late check‑out, free of charge, so we could just hang out in the garden after a busy few days, and that was really appreciated. Thanks for everything! The only thing that could have been better was a safety deposit box—though the guesthouse felt very secure overall, so it didn’t bother me.

We loved everything. Patrick and the staff are very kind, friendly, and always ready to help. The food is exceptional—best of the last ten days and very generous. The garden is very pleasant. I had read very good reviews, but it was even better than I expected. Thank you again.
