Sunday Hotel by CheckIn Chandigarh Zirakpur

“100% recommended to others”

I enjoyed a pleasant stay at Sunday Hotel and especially appreciated Kiran from Guest Services, who was very helpful and professional throughout; the warm and attentive service made my experience even more enjoyable, but the check‑out policy was an issue.

The rooms were okay, but breakfast was terrible; they use lots of preserved foods and the taste confirmed that.

“, Zirakpur & CHD Sept 2026 trip”

The staff team was friendly, and the pool table and swimming pool were nice additions. The reception area looked good and the rooms were spacious, though they could use some interior updates like new curtains. It’s suitable for an overnight or weekend stay, and the nearby market is convenient for shopping. The breakfast menu and food items need improvement, as I experienced on 26.09.26: bakery items were hard, chana bhatura was underwhelming, paratha was understuffed and tough, and the khichri could use more care. A lifeguard should be present at the pool to ensure safety for guests.

“Pricy Stay for an below average experience”

The location of the property was the only positive thing I could think of. It is close to the airport, and it has a decent mall next to it. That's all. 1. I arrived on a motorbike after my trip to Ladakh. I was treated as a third-class person who had wandered into the hotel. Even after explaining that I had a booking here. Pathetic start, I would say. 2. Everyone has a sad expression. I was perplexed, wondering if they were seeing a south indian at their hotel. Security, receptionist, bellboy- everyone has a depressing expression. 3. There is no in-room service menu in any of the rooms; how do you expect to order if there is no menu? 4. In-room dining requires an advance deposit at the reception. In all these years of travel, this was a first for me. strange 5. While checking out, I enquired if we could leave the luggage at the reception for 30min as we wanted to step out to a restaurant nearby. We were asked suspiciously where and how long we would be going. Bottom line: I definitely felt I was racially profiled for being a south indian in the hotel. Be what it may, this is a true feeling I got to experience
