“Visita a Palermo”

The room was large, clean, likely recently renovated, equipped with a TV, a small fridge, and air conditioning; the bathroom was also spacious. It faces corso Calatafimi, a busy main street, but the windows keep out traffic noise. Within less than a kilometer you reach Palermo’s center, and from the opposite side you can get to Monreale. The building’s entrance shares a common entry with other houses and hasn’t been renovated. The bathroom mirror cabinet makes washing difficult and should probably be moved.

The place was clean and the bedroom and bathroom furnishings were modern. A crucifix hung in the bedroom and religious images in the kitchen were inappropriate for a secular accommodation. In the afternoon I left food in the fridge, noticing it was on; the next morning at breakfast everything was at room temperature, even though the fridge was on, because the power switch was set to zero. The yogurts, some lactose‑free, were unusable. I explained this to the owner, who also runs the bar below the apartment, and she apologized, suggesting previous guests were responsible. While I understand such mishaps can happen, nothing was done to rectify it, not even a symbolic gesture like offering a freshly brewed coffee at her bar counter.

The apartment is very spacious, with a large bedroom and excellent storage furniture. The bathroom is great, the kitchen is well equipped, and the place is clean and comfortable. On the ground floor below the apartment is a café where you can buy pastries, cakes, coffee, and even ready meals for lunch at very reasonable prices. You can also buy city transport tickets, which are well supplied. However, we had no Wi‑Fi in the apartment for an entire day despite reporting it immediately; we were forced to use roaming. The hosts apologized and said it was a technical issue. Our apartment and the neighboring one share a common locked door, so we could constantly hear other tenants’ conversations.

We booked this room with only a few hours' notice, but the organization was flawless. The host (and the reception staff) were extremely kind, welcoming us with great availability and immediately escorting us to the room, showing themselves very cordial despite the short notice. The room was very cozy and tastefully furnished. It was impeccably clean, a detail we appreciated a lot. We felt very comfortable; it’s the perfect place for anyone looking for a well‑cared environment and warm, human hospitality. Highly recommended!

Very clean, air conditioning is essential here, pleasant staff always ready to help. The same building has a sweet buffet and a pizzeria across the street, and the prices are very good. The soundproofing is mediocre; you can hear neighbors through the wall, but overall they don’t bother you. There was no iron, even though it was listed in the amenities. It’s a bit far from the center, but you can reach it by bus in about 15–20 minutes.
