Lanta Paradise Beach Resort

“Buchen Sie nicht hier, das Nachbarresort ist viel viel besser!!!”

The view was great and, thanks to the rainy season, there were no other guests around. I’d book the neighboring Lanta Miami resort instead. The food was delicious, the people very friendly, the grounds beautiful, and the laundry service decent. The restaurant was closed (something that should be mentioned on Booking), so we ate at the nearby resort. We stayed alone for 10 days and had to ask the lady to clean our room each day; she did it with an eye-roll and it wasn’t very satisfying. Ants appeared, and at first there were also cockroaches in the bathroom. Because of the rainy season, a lot of sea trash was dumped on the beach and only got cleared after we asked. We used the laundry service once; the clothes smelled like fire afterward and had stains. The neighboring resort’s laundry was clean.

The environment was nice, but overall it was just okay.

Because it was low season, everything was shut down—including the resort’s restaurant—so there was no breakfast, but that was already clear before we arrived. A 7‑Eleven nearby solved that issue. The island itself felt empty and closed, lacking the lively summer beach vibe, and there were no Bolt or Grab services on the island. The room was decent and the pool was great, but the building looked old and could use some repairs.

After we moved rooms, we were right on the beachfront; the new room was large, spacious, and very clean. When we first arrived, they had swapped us into a smaller room because we were the only guests on site, but after we complained they upgraded us. The restaurants and other facilities were closed except for the pool, and we weren’t told that when we booked. We were told there were no nearby restaurants, but there actually was one next door.

It was quiet and calm, but in low season I’d avoid Koh Lanta because the beach gets super dirty and isn’t cleaned.
