“We avoided the Water Street Inn in the past because of comparative room costs.”

The hotel, being over a hundred years old, has an eclectic vibe; if you prefer modern and shiny, skip it. We enjoyed exploring the place and learning its history, and our street‑side room was spacious with a comfortable bed; noise was present but subsided after 10 pm. Some common areas, especially the nooks and crannies, could have been cleaned and staged better.

“Very expensive, very bad”

The location was good, but everything else was terrible. This was one of the grossest and most expensive hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I had to keep my shoes on because the carpet felt wet and the bathroom floor was slimy. The room smelled musty, the tub was disgusting, and I felt dirtier after showering. The roll‑away bed had mysterious stains, and they just tossed it in the room between nights without making the bed or freshening it up. The night manager was rude, and the staff seemed confused and unhappy. The only highlight was a weird picture of a little girl with a bunch of cows on the wall.

“Way to expensive for what we we got”

The location was fine, but the room was super small with almost no amenities for over 600.
