Clean, quiet, and spacious. The location was hard to find; only after seeing the review that said “enter between the buildings” did I finally understand.

Très confortable et vaste maison sur 2 niveaux de type japonais traditionnel dans un secteur très calme. Le premier niveau avec cuisine, wc séparé, salle de bain traditionnelle et salon. Le deuxième niveau avec la chambre et un espace tv qui peut accueillir un quatrième lit. La maison est très propre et fonctionnelle et on s'y sent vite très bien. A 15-20 min à pieds de la gare centrale de Kyoto. A 5 min du métro et des bus. A 15 min d'un supermarché ou 5 min d'une supérette. A 5 min du temple Higashi Hongan-ji et 10 min de Nishi Hongan-ji. Le loueur est réactif dans les échanges et fournit des informations précises et bienveillantes. Les lits sont traditionnels sur futons. Nous avons enchaîné le précédent hôtel et ce logement sur futons. Après 7 jours sous se régime, nous serons contents de retrouver un lit mais l'expérience futon est à vivre absolument durant un séjour au Japon. Le logement se trouve assez facilement au fond d'une toute petite ruelle. Attention au point Google maps qui vous envoie par le parking de la rue principale adjacente. Vous remarquerez vite que l'accès se fait via l'autre rue

The house was spotless, styled like a Machiya with everything brand new and well kept in a very quiet lane. It sat close to the train station, subway, and bus line, with a few convenience stores nearby and a larger supermarket not far off. The kitchen tools were a bit light for a European—only three forks for four people, but we managed with chopsticks. You also have to be okay with sleeping on futons; that’s part of the experience.
The place is amazing! It’s a beautiful machiya‑style accommodation just a 15‑minute walk from the train station, near a konbini, and in a very quiet area. Everything you need is there, from toiletries to kitchen utensils—absolutely perfect!
