Located 3 km from Kruger National Park, Sunbird Lodge is a family-run retreat set amidst 2 acres of tropical gardens. The lodge features a swimming pool, free Wi-Fi, and minimalist rooms with air conditioning, satellite TV, fridge, and private patio. Guests enjoy full English breakfasts and relax in the African-themed bar and garden area, just 2 minutes from town and 5 minutes from Hans Merensky Golf Course.

The structure is very beautiful in the green surroundings. The rooms are spacious and newly built. The owner was extremely kind, gave us tips for Kruger, prepared a take‑away breakfast for our 5:00 am departure, and suggested some dining spots. It’s just a few minutes from the Kruger gate and offers great value for money.

The place was clean and private, but the bedding and mattress felt worn, even though they were still clean.
