The room was solid and the rooftop pool area was spot‑on, but it feels a bit cheeky to list a room with air conditioning and then add a surcharge in the fine print at the bottom of the description.

“Don’t go if you have a vehicle, and be ready to hike if you’re on foot!”

It’s horrible from the outside. It’s on a sloped hill with no parking and they don’t make an effort to provide you with (anywhere at all) safety for your vehicle, I was told to park a block away.

“Great hostel with an amazing view, minutes from the center of town”

We enjoyed our stay at Buena Onda very much. Everything is very clean and well kept. There is a covered outside area with kitchen, seating and a small pool, and an amazing view of San Juan del Sur. A 6 minute walk takes you through the neighborhood to the center of town
