“Es war eine Erfahrung wert”

The room was clean and practical, and the bed was very comfortable with a good mattress. However, it was a basement room in a house that looked poorly maintained from the outside. The house seems to be inhabited only by foreign workers. The offered parking spot was not available. The value for money was not quite right. As a woman, I didn’t feel entirely comfortable there. Nonetheless, the room was tidy, and the host—who only appeared by phone—was very nice and made an effort to explain everything. It was worth a try, but I wouldn’t stay again.

“Overall the stay was really good.”

There was no breakfast because we didn’t opt for the package that included it. It would be better to keep some room fresheners, as the kitchen area had a slight odor.

“Nicht empfehlenswert”

The place is a shared flat with two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The bathroom is not exclusively yours as stated in the listing; it’s shared. The toilet seat had pubic hair and there were still fecal traces in the toilet. In the kitchen, an old tin of tuna was left. The room couldn’t be locked properly—the electronic lock opened on its own. Upon arrival, I was told the lock had a defect. When I returned, the door was open. As a solo female traveler, staying in a non‑lockable room with various men in the building is absolutely unacceptable. The smoke alarm was also removed and left on the shelf. The bed creaks with every movement. Also, you can see through the keyhole if you don’t put paper in it. The room is in the basement, so there are a few spiders as roommates. I slept very poorly. I can’t recommend this accommodation. If it weren’t for the Frankfurt fair, I would have gone elsewhere. The payment process is also very unprofessional. You can pay in cash or via PayPal, but then it’s a friends’ transfer so no fees are charged. Either you rent professionally or you don’t. Don’t book. The other negative reviews are definitely justified. With so many complaints, there’s no point in trying to discuss or find a solution—there isn’t one.

“Diese Unterkunft ist für Urlauber nicht zu empfehlen!”

Nichts! Die Laage war in einer sehr enden Seitengasse!. 1. Hatten wir das Appartement mit zwei Zimmern gebucht und bezahlt. Einen Tag bevor wir anreisen wollten wurden wir von der Unterkunft kontaktiert und uns wurde mitgeteilt das dieses Zimmer nicht mehr zur Verfügung steht wir aber ein anderes bekommen könnten. Auf unsere Frage: eigenes Bad und Kleine Kochecke, wurde erklärt das beides für uns allein da wäre. War es aber nicht!! 2. Als wir ankamen war keiner vor Ort, per Telefon haben wir dann die Zugangscode erhalten. Diese funktionierten aber nicht wirklich. Durch die Hilfe eines anderen Gastes, welcher die Heimatsprache der Vermieterin sprach(osteuropäisch) kamen wir dann doch ins Zimmer. 3. Parkplätze waren keine vorhanden! 4. Der bezahlte Preis war noch Zuviel für diese Unterkunft!

The host markets the apartment with photos that are indistinguishable from other listings, so you can’t tell which pictures belong to this place. The basement has a wet area, but it’s barely adequate. The kitchen and living room are shared with several other people.
