The rooms are spacious, the bed is good, the location is quiet, and at 1 km from the Dutch border the hotel far outshines the pricier ones in places like Winterswijk in almost everything; the only downside for a long sleeper is the 10 am check‑out, which is the only minor drawback.

The location was fine. 1. The bed was bad; I had to lay the mattress on the floor because the bed was too loose. 2. The room was packed; you couldn’t open the window properly.

Dinner in the evening was fine and the staff were friendly; breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, mmm! Room 35 was a bit hard to reach because of the stairs and there was little light in the room.
The owners were unbelievably friendly and the staff were just as kind; my wallet even reappeared. Nothing to complain about!
