This renovated historical building offers tranquil surroundings, 10 km from Somo and Loredo Beaches and 18 km from Santander. The hotel provides free WiFi, public parking, and a fitness centre. The breakfast was great, but the spa had less variety and the sauna was lacking.

I stayed at a new complex perched on a hill outside San Sebastian, and the breakfast was excellent. The pool was small with only a few sunbeds, and the star‑rated restaurant requires advance booking or you’ll be turned away; there’s a second, smaller‑menu restaurant as well. The location is a bit out of the city, so plan accordingly, and the rooms are on the smaller side, but the price is reasonable.
