I’m really pleased that a Chinese hotel can offer such facilities and service; I’ll definitely recommend it to friends for their next stay. The staff are all very helpful, juggling multiple roles yet still meeting guests’ needs. The food is good, with both Western and Chinese options that are a great value for Yangshuo. The scenery of the hotel itself is beautiful. On the downside, the cleanliness of the restaurant and pool could be a bit better. The surrounding area is a little noisy because of nearby tourist spots, but that’s unrelated to the hotel itself. Yangshuo can’t stand those diesel trains—too polluting and loud.

“Très bel hôtel de charme”

A very nice little hotel, a spacious and well‑equipped room, very helpful staff, and they arranged a transfer to the station and an excursion for us.

The spot was in a great location and felt really cozy, but the room had a wall right in front of you and no balcony, which should have been noted in the description. The pool area wasn’t very clean, and talking to the staff was a bit hard because of the language barrier. The wall in front of the window was also not mentioned in the room details, so it would help to warn guests about that.

Apsara Lodge sits beautifully beside the river between the Karst hills, just a walk from Moonhill. The rooms are lovely and warmly decorated, and the view is phenomenal. Dining here is great and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast could have been a bit more extensive, but it was fine for us.
