The hotel staff were friendly and the Wi‑Fi worked without any hiccups. Although the property isn’t huge, it does have an elevator, making it easy to lug suitcases around. You can arrange a paid shuttle between Deheraduun and the hotel; I booked one separately and it ran smoothly. The location sits down a side street off a busy road, but it feels safe and there are plenty of ordinary restaurants and cafés nearby that stay open late, which was convenient. I traveled alone, so the modest room size didn’t bother me, but anyone who needs more space might find it cramped. The area isn’t the hotel’s fault, but in Tapovan the overhead power lines mean that during rainy or thunderstorm periods the electricity can flicker off temporarily at both shops and the hotel.
