10/10. Absolutely loved this place. If you want a shiny modern hotel with perfect soundproofing and everything looking brand new, this probably isn't for you. But if you love old buildings with genuine character, history and a few quirks, the Cornwall is bloody fantastic. I stayed for two nights and the hotel ended up being one of my favourite parts of visiting Moonta. My room had an old-school balcony overlooking the town, plenty of character, and the sort of atmosphere you simply can't manufacture in a new hotel. Yes, the walls are thin. Yes, it's old. That's part of the charm. I didn't come to a historic pub expecting the Hilton. The staff were friendly, the location was brilliant for wandering around Moonta, and there's something special about staying somewhere that actually feels connected to the history of the town. I genuinely didn't want to leave

Staff - awesome Room and facilities - basic, as expected and great value Cleanliness- room and bathroom Cleanliness could be improved. Having to ask staff for toilet paper, surely the cleaner should already have that sorted. Bar staff had it rectified promptly when advised

“Close to Kadina for my son’s hockey carnival.”

The price was great, the free pool table was a nice touch and the location was convenient, but it got very noisy late at night.

The location was great, but the room, toilets and bathrooms were disappointing.

The staff were friendly and the location was close to town walk for dinner and a morning coffee across the road; the off‑road car park sat beside the property and the historic building had a lot of character with a wrap‑around verandah off some rooms, plus the lounge/kitchen were well equipped, though the steep stairs made it hard to access the property after hours.
