“Не пытайтесь всех перехитрить, лучше работайте над собой.”
The breakfasts were tasty, but overall the hotel matches the photos you see online, except that in person everything is simpler, cheaper, a bit more cramped, so I won’t lower the rating too much; I want to warn that most reviews, especially those with named thanks to staff, are not genuine—they’re written by the staff themselves. When checking out, these clever people ask you to show them your booking and then give themselves a 10 for you, which is a fancy service. According to my travel colleagues’ reviews, this is a fairly common practice in the Baku hospitality system (here’s a photo of the same hotel). I was offended by this rudeness, so I requested support to leave an authentic review. Against this backdrop, the staff’s slowness (you have to ask for utensils and glasses at breakfast, and the staff don’t really keep track and often forget) is a small issue.
