Everything – the food, the staff, the facilities, and the hotel itself – was excellent. The only drawback was that happy hour was only at the inside bar, not at the pool bar, and the outdoor pool felt a bit cold to me.

I slept well on the comfortable beds and enjoyed a tasty breakfast, and the chairs in my room were nice; the parking under the hotel costs €15.00 per day. The air‑con unit lacks a gentle night setting, and the overall vibe feels a bit traditional, formal, and stiff.

The location is great, the breakfast is excellent, and the service is superb. The rooms overlooking Jardim do Almirante Reis are very noisy because the public square across from the bars and pubs stays loud at night; even with the window closed, I couldn’t sleep until the early morning. The hotel couldn’t control that and promptly gave us another room, so there was nothing else that bothered me, though I’d be careful about that if I book again.
