The bed suited me but was too soft for my husband. The room was unlocked on arrival, the porch step had broken when I stepped on it, and the whole place smelled musty; the toilet was tiny and low‑set, like a daycare. Lighting was poor and a little creepy, and I had to keep the curtains open to use the AC.

The hotel spans two sites, offering a nice setting with a stream, trees, and outdoor seating spots. The room was comfortable and spotless, providing everything needed for a single‑night trip. However, the front desk was empty when we got there, and our name wasn’t on the door with the room number and key. We had to search the second property and a nearby restaurant for assistance before someone finally checked us in; he was pleasant but didn’t apologize for the confusion and inconvenience.

Just off the highway but far enough back to stay quiet. My room door wouldn’t budge; after a lot of pushing and shoving it finally opened, yet no one was around to help. Each time I returned I spent about 5 minutes and a lot of force to get it open. A phone number in the key envelope would have helped—no one was at the property after 3:30 pm. The rooms are clean but old and musty, with mold on the shower liner, though the hot water and shower were excellent.

Near town. The mattress was uncomfortable. The fuse blew overnight, leaving no light, so we couldn’t use the shower or see enough to get ready to leave. No one was in the office to restore the lights.
