The design is stunning, the location unbeatable, privacy at its best, and Fort Bazaar staff delivered first‑rate service, even offering afternoon tea on their veranda and an outstanding walking tour led by Ms. Parani (you really shouldn’t miss it). Plus, the most peaceful café for a good book in Galle is just a 20‑second stroll away at Kaffi.
“Beautiful apartment in the heart of Galle Fort”
We enjoyed a wonderful honeymoon stay at 8 Leyn Baan Street in Sri Lanka; the apartment’s blend of historic charm and modern comfort felt far superior to a typical hotel room, with everything we needed—drinking water, a coffee press, and a fully equipped kitchen—making us feel right at home. The space was immaculate, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. A major perk was that Fort Bazaar managed the property, giving us access to their excellent pool and hotel amenities, so we had both a private apartment and boutique‑hotel perks. The location is ideal for exploring Galle Fort, with restaurants, cafés, galleries, and the ramparts all within a short walk. We’d definitely return and highly recommend it as a stylish, comfortable base in Galle. The only downside was spotty Wi‑Fi at times.
