The staff were friendly and the room was huge and spotless, but the breakfast cost a lot.

“We didn't stay. We left the property within one hour and booked another hotel. so we lost 18,000 LKR”

Nothing good here. The toilets smelled, the service was terrible and the staff behaved badly; the owner wouldn't refund me. As a fellow Sri Lankan I was really let down by this unethical business. I complained to the relevant authority but haven't heard back yet.

The room was cramped and damp, with a tiny hole. The stairs to the bathroom and toilet were steep, wooden and slippery. There was no mosquito net, the fan blew directly into my head from half a meter away, and the internet didn't work for half an hour.

It’s a private property unlike most places around, so it’s very quiet and calm, and they seem to cater to a select crowd for good privacy. We were given a free upgrade from a double to a family room, but the owner acted as if he didn’t know and offered us a very small double instead; when I asked for the correct room he switched us over. The bathroom sink was always clogged and there were insects in the room. We stayed for 5 days and never received a linen change. The gates close at 9 pm, so no night entertainment or visits after that, whereas most places stay open until 10–11 pm.
