The photos matched the place, everything was practically semi‑new. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was spacious. The location was perfect for getting around. The only downside was that there was no window in the bathroom.

The standard was high for a good price and the location was very good. Restaurants and shops were close by. Even though the town is lively at night, no music or street noise could be heard.

In February I paid €160 for a 3‑night stay in August and I’m very satisfied with the value for money. It was quiet—nothing like the comments described—and the terrace was spacious. I have no complaints.

“Unfortunately this was my first and wil be my last visit”

Absolutely nothing – the location, the service, the room type has nothing to do with the photos from Booking. I was really disappointed with the service – for a whole week nobody came to change the towels or empty the bins. There was no toilet paper in the toilet, and the hot water in the bathroom was problematic. There was no Wi‑Fi at all! I found many cockroaches in the garden – hygiene and cleanliness were at a very, very low level. The owner told me “call me if you need something” and when I needed something nobody answered my calls. They deliberately didn’t give me a second key for the room because when you leave the room and take the key with you the air‑con stops running, and in this extreme warm weather that is unacceptable. In my opinion the owners are greedy people and this is not a good way to run a tourism business.

“Great hosts, fab location, definitely recommend! :)”

The property was in a great location for us. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. The hosts were so kind and helpful that we were very pleased from the start to the end of the holiday. The food at Big Max restaurant was fab too! The hotel also gave us a pick‑up transfer from the airport to the hotel at a really reasonable price. Overall we had a fantastic stay and we would definitely rebook with Big Max Guesthouse in the future. Thank you so much for a great experience.
