The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and I felt safe, and the breakfast cakes were a nice touch. However, I was let down by the breakfast overall; I expected fresh, seasonal Italian farm produce but instead got bland sliced bread and most condiments—butter, jam, honey—were all pre‑packed, like what you find in a budget hotel or a service station.

The reception, the pool, and the breakfast were great. The place was clean and close to the historic centre and the train station.
