The staff were quite friendly and the service was good. The bed was comfortable, fairly clean, and had a pleasant scent. The décor was minimalistic, and the price was reasonable. The bathroom was decent, stocked with soap, shampoo, and towels. The bedside lamp didn’t turn on, but when I asked for a new bed, the staff swapped it right away. The biggest drawback for me, staying on a Saturday, was the live music from a nearby restaurant that kept playing until about midnight. If you’re sensitive to noise, you might struggle to sleep, though I finally slept after 1 a.m. when the outside noise quieted down. This is an external factor, not the hostel’s fault, but it would help if guests were informed upon arrival about the ear‑plugs available (I knew from past reviews that they existed but wasn’t told by the staff). The Glade scent‑neutraliser in the bathroom was gone; it should be checked and replaced regularly. The double‑bedroom for men had a top bed with stairs that were hard to climb, requiring a fair amount of caution.
