“Casa donde no se puede ni dormir ni estar,”
The rooms were roomy and the beds comfortable, and the tiny kitchen was well equipped, but sleeping was impossible—the wooden ceiling creaked like fireworks or falling stones every 48 seconds day and night, the heat was unbearable with no air‑conditioning or even a fan, the sitting area was just a two‑person sofa squeezed next to the fridge in a space barely two square metres for a house meant for over ten people, daylight was scarce, and whenever we plugged in fans the power tripped; using the microwave and toaster together also caused the lights to go out.
