River Coquet Luxury Hot Tub Retreat

“Beautiful retreat and perfect location”

We just came back from an amazing stay at the River Coquet Retreat. The property is modern, homely, and comes with a hot tub. I would highly recommend this accommodation and couldn’t fault it. The location is ideal for exploring beautiful Northumberland, and we will definitely return.

“Lovely lodge for exploring the area”

The lodge was spacious, clean, and airy. The hot tub was ready when we arrived, and outside seating and a BBQ were provided. The location was very quiet, and the beds were comfy. We could have used more cooking trays and kitchen utensils; the booking confirmation mentioned tea and coffee, but none were provided that were usable.

“Had a lovely 5 nights here.”

The location was good. There was no freezer.

“A quiet cosy retreat, with hot tub to help make your stay relaxing!”

The hot tub was a highlight, and the place felt very clean and modern; a few maintenance issues from previous guests—like some kitchen unit damage and worn flooring outside the bathroom/bedroom—were noticeable, but overall it was a lovely property and the owner was very helpful and friendly. The on‑site staff were also very helpful, and they mentioned evening entertainment options that we unfortunately couldn't attend.

The hot tub was great, but the floor/rug cleanliness was disappointing—white socks got dirty within minutes of walking around inside, which was really let‑down considering the price of the stay.
