“Très agréable séjour sur la plage et au calme”
We had a very pleasant 4‑night stay at Olas, Asia, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The property is extremely quiet at the southern tip of the hotel zone in Tulum, meaning that on the beach, to the right, there are no more hotels—just the Sian Ka’an reserve, which is very appreciated. Our room was large with a nice balcony in a slightly newer building at the back, offering a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was very good and varied each day. As mentioned in some reviews, the location means that without a vehicle (which was our case) every outing is by foot, bike (which can be rented at Olas), or taxi (expensive and hard to find on the street); the hotel zone has little for groceries. Also, it’s not a hotel with a 24/7 reception and services. It’s a very pleasant place with good value for Tulum. The place could use a little renovation: our room, though beautiful and spacious, was dated compared to the website photos. As for the rooftop terrace, it has a great view, but the photos suggest you can have a drink there, which is no longer the case (unless you bring your own drink).
