Staybridge Suites Middleton/Madison-West by IHG

Breakfast was typical for a hotel and met my needs; the renovation is clearly improving the property. The rooms stayed clean and the common area had comfortable seating. However, the common areas could have been cleaner; cigarette butts littered the outdoor peripheral areas—parking lots, courtyard, and rock beds next to the building—and I found that disgusting. There was only one butt receptacle.

“Decent”

The beds were comfortable. We were not warned that the whole property was under renovation; we stayed for a week and everything was taped off, with paper on the floors that stank like paint. Breakfast was served in ice pools, on warming trays, and on folding tables.

“Only stayed 15 mins. Got our $$ back.”

Nothing positive to note. The room smelled of chemicals, the fan rattled, and the facility was under construction. I left and got a refund. People should not be staying here.

“It is a clean, friendly & convenient place to stay!”

The privacy, breakfast, and pool were the best! My view, however, was dumpsters from my first‑floor window.

“Comfortable, convenient, has a kitchenette.”

The room matched our needs exactly, the staff were great, and the location was convenient. Parking was a bit complicated, there were few vegetarian options for breakfast (which we expected), and some construction was happening without anyone mentioning it. The laundry machines took forever, and the dryer barely warmed up even after an hour.
